Livermore is about 35 minutes east of our Hayward yard on I-580, with a second yard in South San Francisco for Peninsula pickups. No marketplace, no subcontractor, no 20–40% broker margin on a wine tour we are the ones actually driving. The south valley roads are narrow in places and the driver who takes your group has run them before, in a bus our own shop maintains.
CPUC TCP 0037963 · USDOT 3126263 · commercial auto liability on every coach · certificates of insurance issued same business day.
Our own vehicles, photographed by our crew. Not stock photography, not a partner's coach.

Distances are road miles from the Bankhead Theater on First Street. Times are typical off-peak, before I-580 through the Altamont and the Dublin grade fill up. These are runs we quote in the valley every season.
| Trip | What it usually looks like | Miles | Drive | Best vehicle |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Livermore Valley winery toursTesla Rd, Vasco Rd, Wente, Concannon and Ruby Hill | Four or five tasting rooms in a day with the driver parked and waiting between stops. Some south valley driveways take a coach and some do not, and we check that when we build the route, not on arrival. | 8–25 | 15–35 min | 24–35-pax minibus |
| Wente Vineyards concert series shuttlesArroyo Rd, Tesla Rd, downtown Livermore hotel block | Summer show nights where the venue lot fills long before the opener. We run from downtown hotels and remote lots and hold the driver through the encore rather than cutting the night short. | 6 | 15 min | 56-pax coach |
| Palm Event Center and vineyard weddingsPalm Event Center, Ruby Hill, Concannon, Pleasanton hotel blocks | Guest loops from the hotel block out to the vineyard and a last run after the send-off, sized to the property gate so nobody is walking a gravel shoulder in wedding shoes. | 5–14 | 12–25 min | 24–35-pax minibus |
| Las Positas College athletics and campus travelCampus Hill Dr, Collier Canyon Rd, I-580 | Team travel to conference away games and campus event shuttles, quoted with a post-game hold because a bus leaving on time and a team leaving on time are rarely the same thing. | 4 | 10 min | 56-pax coach |
| East Avenue lab corridor visitor and staff runsEast Ave, Greenville Rd, Vasco Rd, downtown hotels | Conference groups and visiting delegations moving between hotels, the East Avenue corridor and the airport on a fixed schedule, with a tracking link for the person running the agenda. | 3–10 | 10–20 min | 24–35-pax minibus |
| Livermore Rodeo and downtown festival daysRobertson Park, First St, Livermore Transit Center | Rodeo weekend and the harvest events fill every lot within a mile of Robertson Park. Remote-lot laps keep the residential streets around the park open for the people who live on them. | 2–5 | varies | 69-pax double-decker |
| Oakland and San Jose airport transfersI-580 west to I-238 for OAK, or I-680 south for SJC | Roughly 35 miles either direction, so the choice is usually about fares rather than driving time. We track the flight and stage the vehicle before the group reaches the curb. | 35 | 40 min | 56-pax coach |
| Livermore to San Francisco event and game runsI-580 west through the Dublin grade to I-238, I-880 and the bridge | Season-ticket blocks, company nights and concerts in the city, with departure timed around the westbound I-580 wall instead of hoping it clears by itself. | 48 | 65 min | 56-pax coach |

Most sites ranking for "charter bus Livermore" do not own a single vehicle. They resell operators like us and add a margin. Here is what changes when you skip that layer.
| Question | Umbrella Global Bus | Booking marketplace |
|---|---|---|
| Who owns the vehicle? | We do. Titled, insured and maintained by Umbrella. | A third-party operator assigned after you pay, often unnamed until day-of. |
| Who is driving? | Our employee, in our DOT drug-and-alcohol program, known to our dispatch. | Whoever the assigned operator sends. |
| What is the price built from? | Our operator rate, itemized: hours, deadhead from South San Francisco, tolls, gratuity. | An operator's rate plus the platform's margin, typically 20–40%. |
| Who answers at 5:40 a.m. when the bus is late? | The dispatcher who assigned the driver, with the coach on GPS. | A call center that has to phone the operator. |
| Certificate of insurance for a venue or employer? | Issued by us, usually same business day. | Requested from the operator through the platform. |
| Can I track the bus? | Yes, a live tracking link for every trip. | Depends on the operator. |
Published ranges let you budget before you call. Wine tours are quoted by the hour with the driver staying on site, because the day always runs longer than the itinerary says.
Driver included. Five-hour minimum, so a half day runs $750–$875. Tasting-room loops, wedding runs, campus trips and hotel shuttles.
Driver included. Quoted per itinerary on top of the hourly rate because deadhead, tolls and return time change the total.
Standing routes for Livermore employers, campuses and hotels. Monthly invoicing, PO-based billing and net terms.
Always included: driver, fuel, standard insurance, live tracking. Quoted separately: tolls, parking, driver overnight on multi-day trips, gratuity if you choose to add it.
A half-day (5-hour) 24-35 passenger minibus in Livermore typically runs $750–$875 including driver, which covers most valley wine tours. A 56-passenger motorcoach is quoted per itinerary, with the drive out from our Hayward yard on I-580 shown as its own line.
Many of them, but not all. Several Tesla Road and Vasco Road properties have narrow gates or gravel turnarounds where a 56-passenger coach cannot get out again. We confirm the specific tasting rooms on your list before quoting and put you in minibuses where a coach would not fit.
Yes. The usual pattern is a downtown hotel and remote-lot loop starting a couple of hours before the show, with the driver holding through the last song so the group is not walking Arroyo Road in the dark.
Roughly 35 road miles to both Oakland on I-580 and San Jose on I-680, with SFO around 50 miles. Because the two closest are about the same distance, we usually quote both and let the group pick on fares.
The operator. We own the vehicles, employ the drivers, and run our own dispatch and maintenance shop from South San Francisco and Hayward under CPUC TCP 0037963 and USDOT 3126263. Nobody resells the trip, so there is no 20 to 40 percent margin riding on top of the rate.
Yes. Each 69-passenger double-decker has a wheelchair lift and a restroom, and one coach and one minibus are lift-equipped. Tell dispatch how many wheelchair positions you need and whether the venue has a level loading area.
